AFFILIATIONS & CERTIFICATIONS

Members of Douglas Aquatics team have earned The Certified Advanced Pool Builder Professional is a nationally recognized designation. This program provides in-depth knowledge to build any type of swimming pool, to include the successful completion and the GENESIS Fluid Hydraulics for Pools and Spas course (E211). Additionally, the student must also pass the Advanced CBP exam to qualify for this program.

The ACBP is the second level of certification in the PHTA Certified Pool Builder and Design Professional Pathway, an education and certification career pathway designed to build upon knowledge in order become a Certified Master Pool Builder and Design Professional.

Certified Building Professionals

Members of Douglas Aquatics team have earned The Certified Builder Professional is a nationally recognized designation. This program provides in-depth knowledge to build any type of swimming pool. All CBPs must complete the GENESIS Construction School course (C201 or C260) and pass the CBP exam to qualify for this program.

The CBP is the first level of certification in the PHTA Certified Pool Builder and Design Professional Pathway, an education and certification career pathway designed to build upon knowledge in order become a Certified Master Pool Builder and Design Professional.

Certified Pool/Spa Operator

Members of the Douglas Aquatics team have earned the Certified Pool & Spa Operator certification program is the world’s leading education and certification program for keeping pools safer and keeping them open. Over 400,000 students have been trained since 1972.

CPO certification provides individuals with the knowledge, techniques, and skills required for proper pool operations. Students learn how to:

• Reduce risks in and around the water
• Prevent drowning, recreational water illness, suction entrapment, evisceration, diving accidents, electrocutions, chemical hazards, and slips and falls
• Address regulatory guidelines
• Maintain disinfection and water balance
• Manage water problems
• Perform troubleshooting, chemical testing, and record keeping
• Manage chemical feed
• Utilize automation and technology

Certified Pool & Spa Service Technician

Members of the Douglas Aquatics team have earned the Certified Pool & Spa Service Technician is a nationally recognized designation. After completing this course, students have gained a strong understanding of common problems with pool finishes and how to repair them and keeping pools running more efficiently with a better understanding of circulation, filtration, hydraulics, and electricity. Additionally, they grow practical knowledge and gain troubleshooting skills and resources.

Certified Pool & Spa Maintenance Specialist

Members of the Douglas Aquatics team have earned the Certified Pool & Spa Maintenance Specialist is a nationally recognized designation. After completing this pool maintenance certification course, students have gained a strong understanding of safety, pool circulation and filtration, pool maintenance, and water quality. Additionally, they have learned about other important topics such as electrical systems, pool structures and finishes, heaters and controls, and customer service.

Douglas Aquatics is proud to be a part of the Master Pools Guild, an international network of elite custom pool builders that operate with a strong commitment to high quality, customer service and good business ethics. This group of independent pool builders is dedicated to sharing best business ideas, as well as staying up to date on the latest technical and business practices.

Douglas Aquatics is proud to be a certified member of the Genesis 3 Society of Watershape Designers, an international forum for continuing industry education, as well as creating higher standards for pool and spa design, engineering and construction.
