How long does it take to build a pool?
It is difficult to predict an exact time frame for pool construction due to many variables, such as weather, local building inspections, and the project complexity. Most shotcrete pool projects are completed within 6 to 8 weeks once local permitting is approved. Most vinyl liner pool projects are completed within 4 to 6 weeks once local permitting is approved.
Do you build in my area?
We build in Central and Eastern Virginia from Stafford County to the north, Charlottesville to the west, Hampton to the east, and to the North Carolina border.
How much time will I spend maintaining my swimming pool?
With today’s innovative technology and equipment, owning a pool is easy. Most owners choose some sort of automation to operate their pool, which can be set on a consistent cleaning schedule. You can estimate spending 15 minutes per week on minimal pool maintenance. An alternative is to have our maintenance department schedule a weekly cleaning, so all you have to do is spend your time relaxing.
Will a pool increase the value of my home?
Adding a swimming pool can increase value far beyond just the monetary value. Think of endless summer days spent in the backyard with friends and family! Whether it is a pool party with a few friends or a little alone time, your swimming pool can provide that relaxing escape you always wanted. Swimming has been determined to be one of the best forms of exercise and stress reliever to promote a healthy body and mind. In terms of monetary value, The National Association of Realtors maintains that an in ground pool can increase a home’s value from 8% to 15%. Of course, current market and property values will affect this value.
Is there any truth to ads promising pools at very low prices?
It is possible to build a pool at a low price, however, structural elements, equipment, and craftsmanship will all be compromised. Poor quality construction will undermine the integrity of the pool and possibly put your family at risk. At Douglas Aquatics, we are committed to delivering a quality product that will fit within your budget and achieve your backyard dream.
